Mark Ramprakash has finally done it – making his 100th century for Surrey against Yorkshire.

Ramprakash fans may be interested to know that Mark now joins such cricketing luminaries as WG Grace, Donald Bradman and Geoffrey Boycott in the hundred 100s club.

Congratulations Ramps, that’s one heck of a monkey off your back.

Admittedly, this news is from a month ago, but apparently Gordon Brown wants Sachin Tendulkar to be knighted. Who knew the PM was a fan of the Little Master?

If Sachin were to become a Sir, he’d be in good company, with Viv Richards, Garfield Sobers and, of course, The Don all having been awarded the honour in the past.

It certainly beats inviting rock stars to Downing Street, like the previous incumbent did.
