The Indian Premier League’s first season is mere hours away, and it’s decision time. But which team should the discerning cricket fan lend his affections to? The Chennai Super Kings sound a little too much like a brand of tobacco, the Knight Riders are ‘biting’ the Hoff’s style, and the Deccan Chargers have a logo that looks too much like it belongs in the NFL (or worse, the MLS), even if they do have Laxman on their books.
What does that leave? The Mumbai Indians? ‘Kings XI’ Punjab? No, blind patriotism is the only way forward, so I must pick Danger Anus’s team, the Rajasthan Royals. Plus, a former Neighbours star is involved.
I’d like to point out that this level of ’support’ is entirely whimsical, and liable to complete reversal as and when I choose.

Support the knight riders. They will play great cricket, they will entertain, and they will win.
Plus they are owned by the best entertainer India has seen.
