I know the idea was hardly original, but my thoughts on a two-tier Test championship (motivated by Bangladesh’s hammering at the hands of, well, everyone) seem to have been in tune with the general mood amongst cricket bloggers.
Rob Steen, writing on his Cricinfo blog Rob’s Lobs, has been thinking about a quadrennial World Test Championship, based on a two-tier system.
The Cricket-Watcher’s Journal has also been considering the issue, with a more detailed vision than my hasty back-of-an-envelope ideas.
